White-headed Plover

Vanellus albiceps

Size: Up to 30 cms long
Habitat: Near rivers and lakes
Feeding: Insects and invertebrates

The White-headed Plover, also called White-headed Lapwing, is a wading bird. It can be identified by its grey head with a white crown and yellow wattles. It has white underparts and the wings and tail are brown and black.
