Sacred Ibis

Threskiornis aethiopicus

Size: 68 cm long
Habitat: Grasslands and wetlands
Feeding: Insects, frogs, small mammals and reptiles

The Sacred Ibis has a bare black head and neck with the distinctive long curved beak. The body and wing feathers are white with black tips. The legs are black.

These photos were taken in the Okavango Delta, Botswana and Amboseli National Park, Kenya.
