Black-chested Snake Eagle

Circaetus pectoralis

Size: Up to 68 cms long, wingspan 178 cm
Habitat: Open terrain with trees
Feeding: Snakes, frogs and small mammals

The Black-chested Snake Eagle is a large bird of prey. Its head, back and chest are dark brown but the underparts are white. Its has yellow eyes.

The sexes are similar but the female is slightly larger.
