Recurvirostra avosetta

Size: 43 cm
Habitat: Lakes and coastal waters
Feeding: Aquatic insects and molluscs

This wading bird is very easy to identify with its long, curved beak. Usually black and white with blue/grey legs, these photos show an immature bird which is more brown and white.
