The Dwarf Mongoose is the smallest carnivore in Africa. It has a coat that ranges from red/brown to yellow/grey. It has a pointed head, small ears and a long tail.
They are gregarious animals living in social groups and their favourite habitat is a termite mound.
It has a lifespan of 10 - 12 years.
The first photo was taken in the Serengeti, Tanzania and the second in the Masai Mara, Kenya.
